This large car was the first Bugatti to feature a double camshaft The engine would benefitted from better aspiration, and delivered about 225 hp. It was also fitted in the [[Bugatti Type 53|Bugatti type 53]], [[Bugatti Type 54|type 54]] and in modified form in the [[Bugatti Type 59/50B|type 59/50B]], and it even made it's way into the [[Bugatti Type 100 airplane]]. (delivering 450 HP)<br /> <br /> The kit is quite detailed, and quite accurate. Building the engine is a bit tricky, as [[Heller]] choose to split up the engine in several parts.<br /> <br /> The wheels, unfortunately, are not accurate. They are too coarse. Perhaps filing down the fins might improve things somewhat, but Heller really missed it there.<br /> <br /> All in all a nice model, of one of the most spectaculair bodies by [[Jean Bugatti]].<br /> <br /> I have some pictures of the same model in Surprofile version. Was this original [[Heller]], or did someone do a conversion?
